Recently, I reviewed Mcaffeine Facewash, and this time I got my hands on Mcaffeine Face Mask. As I already said in my previous blog that I love coffee but never thought of using it on my skin. But that face wash really changed my thoughts and I end up buying the entire Coffee face care kit of mcaffeine. Let me give you a review one by one each of the products.

mCaffeine Coffee Face Mask How to Use (Brand Says):
Clean your face with a mild face wash. Apply a generous amount of the mask with the spatula. Spread it into an even layer. Avoid the area around the eyes, brows, and lips. Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water in a scrubbing circular motion. Use a light moisturizer to lock the moisture in.

Aqua, Caffeine, Menthol Crystals, Argania Spinosa Oil(Argan Oil), Tocotrienol(Vitamin E), Sodium Gluconate, Glyceryl Caprylate, and Glyceryl Undecylenate, Theobroma Cacao(Cocoa) Butter, Vitellaria Paradoxa (Shea Butter), Coffee Powder, Titanium Dioxide, Coco-Glucoside, Oryza Sativa (Rice Bran) Oil, Theobroma Cacao(Cocoa) Powder, Bentonite, Kaolin, Multani Mitti, Glycerine, Citric Acid, Fragrance.
My Experience with mCaffeine Naked & Raw Coffee Face Mask:
mCaffeine Coffee Face mask has a thick consistency just like the other clay masks, it has an ash grey color. It has some coffee granules in it, which may be because it contains coffee powder. Generally, I apply any face mask using my fingers and spread it all over my face and neck, avoiding the eye area and upper lips because those I feel really sensitive.
While applying and even for a few minutes after the application, I feel tingling sensations on my sensitive areas and cooling sensation all over my face. As I'm having sensitive combination skin, I apply a really thin layer on my cheeks and chin, and a good amount of mask on my T-zone (forehead and nose).
Keeping that mask on for 15-20 minutes, later on, I start washing it off with lukewarm to cold water. I do it gently and smoothly avoiding that physical exfoliation part from those coffee granules. My face and neck look fresh and clean but other than that I didn't notice any big difference. Something like soothing my skin or calming or glowing, etc but in fact, I saw few times little redness around cheeks just like when you're about to get a pimple or acne.
The strange part is even though I applied a thick layer on my nose and forehead I could still see those white sebaceous filament on my nose after washing.
I was really interested to try this because it has some good ingredients.
Such as:
- Caffeine: It has good skin penetration abilities and antioxidant properties which helps to fight free radicals.
- Menthol Crystals: It creates a cooling sensation and helps to soothe irritated skin.
- Argan Oil: Good for moisturizing the skin and reduce skin oiliness. It has soothing properties and improves aging effects.
- Tocotrienol(Vitamin E): It helps to prevent skin damage caused by UV exposure, it also has anti-inflammatory effects on the skin.
- Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Butter: It moisturizes and nourishes the skin, even the driest. It may provide relief to the skin.
- Vitellaria Paradoxa (Shea) Butter: It has healing and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. And improves the number of skin conditions.
- Other than all these ingredients it has coffee powder, rice bran oil, cocoa powder, Glycerine, Citric Acid, and 3 types of clays which are Bentonite, Kaolin, and Multani mitti.
And yes, I must say it doesn't dry out my skin at all like other clay masks do. But besides that, I didn't see any tremendous or amazing effects of this mask on my face.
Even though the name of it is "Coffee Face Mask" it smells more of cocoa, I personally did not like that smell.
Moving on its pros and cons.
Pros of mCaffeine Naked & Raw Coffee Face Mask:
- It doesn't dry out the skin.
- It doesn't have any harsh or harmful chemicals.
- Glass jar packaging, good for recycling purposes.
- Availability of the product.
Cons of mCaffeine Naked & Raw Coffee Face Mask:
- It has a cocoa fragrance.
- It has coffee granules that can physically exfoliate your skin.
- It has menthol Crystals in high concentration which can be problematic for some, especially sensitive skin.
- Not good for traveling as it comes in a heavy glass jar.
- It is meant for only Oily skin.
Overall:
I'm not really impressed with the results, and also I don't really like it when it's on my face. Because of that continuous cocoa fragrance and that cooling part as it makes my skin tingling more than soothing. And of course, how can I forget about those coffee granules - not good!
If you have sensitive oily skin, don't go for it. Normal to oily skin can go for it if they don't have any problems with the ingredients and not allergic to any natural ingredient.
Otherwise, you can get a better face mask/pack instead of this one with the same or lesser price.
