My Experience with mCaffeine Naked & Raw Coffee Face Scrub:

Mcaffeine Face scrub has a caramel brown color. It has a creamy texture with walnut granules (walnut shell powder) in it. I never tried any physical scrub with walnut granules and coffee extract and I thought I should give it a try. All I saw on the internet about its amazing benefits but unfortunately that was not the case for me. I used it 3 times and then I stopped and I am not thinking to use it in the future and none of the products as the same as this one.

So let me give you some more details. I've used this scrub on my face and neck, while my face was still damp after cleansing. Even I'm just spreading it on my face gently, at the same time it starts to exfoliate my skin. To be honest, I find it really harsh on my skin, and for that reason within 10-15 seconds I take it off with lukewarm to cold water. After washing it off all I saw on my face was redness, sensitivity, and sometimes irritation.

For the first time, I thought maybe because it's the first time and new to my skin, for the second time I thought maybe I'm not being gentle and this is my fault but at my third try after washing it off I decided you know what that's it! Because this time it wasn't new anymore, I was being gentle, and still, I'm having the same issues. And then I did some study so I got to know Walnut scrub is abrasive and not a good choice for your skin.

It has caramel and cocoa fragrance in it, I could smell it even after washing it off (which is annoying). I saw a lot of reviews and all of, or most of them were positive about the product but after I used it and one of my friends, and we both experienced the same problem and she has a normal skin type. I finally realized this is not good at all.

Even though it has a few good ingredients like :

  • Glycerine: It is a natural moisturizer and gives that healthy glow by making skin smooth and soft.
  • Kaolin: Aka China clay, it is gentler than any other clay and good for sensitive skin.
  • Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis Extract: It is high in Vitamin C and contains AHA. It is popular for anti-aging.
  • Coffee Extract: It's an amazing antioxidant and it has a rich source of ferulic acid. It helps to reduce signs of aging and repair signs of sun damage.
  • And Theobroma Cacao Powder, Vitamin E, Caffeine, and Argan oil, etc.

After all this, It has walnut scrub, Silica both of these are exfoliators and fragrance. And for me, that fragrance is really strong. So definitely that product is going to be harsh on your skin, whether you might know or not. Fragrance and such exfoliation is not a good combination.

Yes, it didn't dry out my skin and meant for Normal to Oily skin. But I feel you can go for better alternatives with this price, or best will be chemical exfoliators (even I got to know about them after such experience). Personally, I'm not gonna use this product and not only this but any physical exfoliators(lesson learned!). But it doesn't mean I will waste this product, I'm using it now as foot scrub (because I've so much left).

Moving on its pros and cons.

Pros of mCaffeine Naked & Raw Coffee Face Scrub:

  1. It does not dry-out the face.
  2. It is Paraben, SLS, and Cruelty-free.
  3. No-leakage packaging, good for travel purposes.
  4. Instantly smooth out your skin.
  5. Availability

Cons of mCaffeine Naked & Raw Coffee Face Scrub:

  1. Even though it has some good ingredients on the other hand it has some ingredients which can increase sensitivity, irritation, and redness in your skin such as Walnut granules and silica.
  2.  Availability of sizes, as it is not available in travel size so you can test it out first.
  3. It can create those micro-tears on the skin with that abrasive granules.
  4. All it can give is instantly smooth, other than that no big difference has been seen.
  5. It has a strong fragrance of caramel-cocoa powder.
  6. It can damage the skin more than good.
  7. Ingredients like Vitamin E (brand mentioned on the label), Argan Oil, Caffeine, etc are in really low concentration.

Overall:

Will I recommend or repurchase- NO, NO, NO! I won't even recommend for normal to oily skin (for which it is meant for). If you really love your skin then please give it a good treatment, don't go with such abrasive scrub! Based on my personal and friend's experience.

So overall, I will neither recommend to anyone with any skin type nor I'd repurchase it (even for my feet 😜).

Note:

- Do a patch test before using it.

- Make sure you don't have cuts or razor burns or anything which can make your skin worse than good before exfoliating.

- Be careful while using such physical scrub especially, at the sensitive areas of your face.

- If you're already using this or any physical scrub then don't go with chemical exfoliators such as AHA's, BHA's, and PHA's (too much good is not good).

Always follow-up with a good moisturizer.

- If you're planning to go out after using such scrub then make sure you're using enough sunscreen to protect your skin.

- If you have any skin related concern or any issues then please consult your dermatologist before using this scrub. As it might make your skin condition worse.

That’s all folks πŸ˜„πŸ€—, That was my experience, how about you?πŸ€”
