Namaste there πŸ™,

Hope you’re doing great 😊,

The moisturizing step is necessary and important not only for your face but for the entire body. When you use moisturizer it doesn't only mean to stop aging. But Moisturizing helps your skin in many ways to keep it healthy, it works like a barrier.

This month I am trying all mCaffeine coffee range products. And, here I am with mCaffeine Choco body butter.

My Body Skin Type: Dry

Let's dive into today's topic,

01. About Choco-Cocoa Butter and mCaffeine brand

02. mCaffeine Body Butter Details

03. mCaffeine Body Butter Review

04. Pros and Cons

05. Conclusion

06. Things to remember

07.Where/How to get it?

First of all,

Choco (Cocoa) Butter:

  • Cocoa seed butter temporarily protects injured or exposed skin from harmful or annoying stimuli and may provide relief to the skin. It also shows the loss of water from the skin by forming a barrier on the skin's surface.
  • Cocoa butter counts as a rich emollient that can moisturize and nourish even the driest skin. It contains fatty acids, and it has antioxidant Vitamin E & Polyphenols. It is best for very dry skin.

About the brand,

mCaffeine:

  • mCaffeine brand is known to be India's first Caffeinated Personal Care brand. They have entire product lines based on Coffee and Green Tea.
  • Almost all products are - FDA Approved, SLS & Paraben Free, Dermatologically Tested & Cruelty-free.

My Experience with mCaffeine Naked & Rich Choco Body Butter:

mCaffeine body butter has creamy, more like butter consistency. It comes in a beige-caramel color. Generally, I take it out from my finger and apply it all over my cleansed body, after a shower. It absorbed quickly into my skin and yes sometimes, I feel that little bit oiliness after the application, maybe because it has that butter texture. And because it has such a thick creamy/butter consistency, I prefer to apply it on the day when I'm done with body scrubbing or have gone through any physical exfoliation, so it can deeply moisturize my skin.

About the fragrance, it smells like Cocoa butter and that fragrance is really strong for me that I could smell it an entire day without making any effort to smell it. I really don't like it and I don't want to smell like chocolate when I'm going out.

Let's talk about its main ingredients:
  • Argania Spinosa Oil (Argan Oil): Good for moisturizing the skin and reduce skin oiliness. It has soothing properties and improves aging effects.
  • Caffeine: It has good skin penetration abilities and antioxidant properties which helps to fight free radicals.
  • Tocotrienol(Vitamin E): It helps to prevent skin damage caused by UV exposure, it also has anti-inflammatory effects on the skin.
  • Glycerine: It is a natural moisturizer and gives that healthy glow by making skin smooth and soft.
  • And other moisturizing ingredients like Glycine Max(Soya) which is soybean extract and Theobroma Cacao Butter but at very low concentration.
  • It has other ingredients that make it thicker such as, Sorbitan Stearate, Carbomer, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Cera, and Isopropyl Myristate, etc.

Personally, I've dry skin so I did enjoy this body butter (not including fragrance) even in monsoon. But I don't think it is a good option in summer. Because it has such thick consistency normal skin tone people, can feel a little bit of oiliness or like sweat, sometimes - especially during monsoon and summer. For oily skin tone, I don't think it's the right choice. And the brand claims that it is suitable for all skin type, I mean how?
One of my friend who has normal skin type, she applied it and felt oiliness and like sweating obviously, she didn't enjoy.

I've kept to use it in winter where my skin gets really dry and I need a heavy moisturizer.

I think I can go for a better alternative with this price range, where I don't have to think about fragrance before stepping out of my house πŸ˜….

Moving on its pros and cons.

Pros of mCaffeine Choco Body Butter:

  1. It comes in glass packaging which is good for sustainability and recycling purposes.
  2. It is Paraben, SLS, and Cruelty-free.
  3. Good for dry skin people and winter season.
  4. It deeply moisturizes, feels non-sticky, and absorbed quickly into the skin.
  5. No need to re-apply, it last till 8-10 hours. Unless you've extremely dry skin then you might have to re-apply in between.
  6. Availability.

Cons of mCaffeine Choco Body Butter:

  1. Not suitable for oily skin and in summer.
  2. Not travel friendly, as it comes in a bulky glass jar.
  3. It contains fragrance.
  4. It is only available in one size.

Overall:

Dry skin people, you'll enjoy it and it's a good option in winter too - if the fragrance doesn't bother you. Whereas, I don't think it's a good option for people with oily skin and during summer.

Personally, I did find the one problem and that is the fragrance other than that I enjoyed this moisturizer especially, in winter. And I'm not going to repurchase it, as I believe there are better alternatives in the market with the same price range.

Note:

- It is recommended to do a patch test before using it.

- During the daytime always follow-up with a good sunscreen, even though it has thick consistency it will not be going to cover you up with UV rays damage.

- If you're using any treatment creams or body mist, or body serum, etc apply before the moisturizer. Because of its consistency, the other treatments will not be that effective if used afterward.

- Even though it is a good moisturizer, it is not meant for the face. Don't go for this one as a face moisturizer, especially if you're acne-prone.

That’s all folks πŸ˜„πŸ€—, That was my experience, how about you?πŸ€”
